A large list of Horse Blogs

I have just discovered a gold mine of Horse Blogs
If you read my post “Five good reasons why you should start a blog” I gave you a few reasons for starting a blog for your horse business. You may have thought, “Hey that sounds like a good idea, but where to start, what to write about, and how do I pick out my blog categories”?
Well I think that the first step should be to check out and read some postings at a few horse blogs that relate to whatever you are passionate about with horses.
I did a some quick Internet surfing and found this wonderfully large and varied Horse Blogs List at the Bridlepath blog. Doris gave me permission to repost her huge list here. And I have added to it too. She also would love if you’d check out her equestrian blog too.
Note that all the links below will open in a new browser window.
Horse Book Author Blogs
- Cliffy’s Mom’s Blog By the shores of Gitchee Gumee by the shining Big-Sea-Water, came a little red horse! …Or something like that. Clifford is the star of the true horse story, “Clifford of Drummond Island” and the sequel, “Return to Manitou.” What started out as bloglike ramblings became a book, so never underestimate the power of the written word!”Great horse books and loved her dog ebook too.” – Joni Solis
- Box of Stars: Young Riders Series, Book One When a riding accident with her beloved, steel grey thoroughbred shatters Olivia’s confidence, the rest of her life starts falling apart, too. Will the “box of stars” that holds Olivia’s dream of making the national Young Riders team be closed forever? Or can cute Will Winfield’s own secret fear inspire Olivia to get back in the saddle–and back to her dreams?

I am so grateful for finding this blogs and i really want to know more about your ideas in taking care a horse.
Well Cheka takin care of a horse is difficult thing to do. You have to fresh clean hay nd no blister beetles in it nd fresh clean water. nd lots of open fresh clean air space nd grass too. because if you have a stable or fence that just has dirt or dust then thats bad because your horse cab get ashma. nd im 10 very smart nd mature for my age well blog me

Love horses? Check out a Handlebar Horse. My daughter loves it…and she’s getting exercise!
Hi Tina,
We all love our horses and our other smaller animals. Recently my dog ate a small quantity of Farnam Company’s (http://www.farnam.com)Alfalfa Pellet Wormer for horses and now she is in an animal hospital fighting for her life. She has been in an unconscious state for nearly 4 days. I contacted Farnam’s head office and they are not willing to put a warning label on this toxic product which can kill dogs, cats and small children. My dog Sadie weighs 85 pounds, so she weighs much more than most small children and she may die. She has severe neurological damage and we don’t know how extensive the damage is. I am asking all animals lovers to boycott Farnam Company’s products until they agree to act responsible and put warning labels on their products.

Hello-
I just hit the jackpot finding this blog resource as I was hunting for informative horse related blogs to visit.
I would love for my blog to listed, it ‘s about life on small acreage i with horses, endurance riding and general horse realated articles here in Big Sky County
Ride on over http://www.acerfarm.blogspot.com
Hi,
I love all the links!
I blog my adventures on Utah trails, as well as our experiences as horsekeepers on a small acreage. If you feel it’s appropriate, I’d love to have Janie and Steve’s Utah Trails be included on your “general horse blog” list. uthappytrails.blogspot.com
We have a horse site you may like. We offer horsey info blogs, horse story fiction blogs, a strictly moderated forum and lots more.
Please check us out! http://www.ihorseclub.com
If you would like, you can add my blog http://ozolkalni.blogspot.com/ to the list – it is all about me (46) starting to discover the world of horses. Since January 2008 I had never even been inside the horse box, never were even interested to ride, but life is full of surprises. English is not my native so writing is far from desirable, but I presume it is some fun.
Pick me pick me! i have a blog too! Add me in, i love this resource and have a whole blog about the inspiration of horses in our lives, art, design and everthing else!

kind regards,

well I started my own so to speak and have never looked back. It all starts with the life long love of horses.
Okay, here’s a new one, I think. I hope anyway.
I have posted my young adult , horse-centric novel as a blog (http://boxofstarsanastasiaburke.blogspot.com:80). It’s free of ads, free of swearing, free of explicit situations for the teens, just a good, solid story about a girl trying to make it the top with her beloved horse.
I’m trying to get feedback on the story. I’m posting a chapter a week and so far, I don’t have a clue if anyone is visitng.
I’m not trying to make money off it–it’s just nice knowing that it might brig some pleasure.
Does anyone out there know if there are other “book blogs?”
Thanks,
Anastasia
Wow! This is great! Please add me to the blogroll, and I hoep to get to as many as these sites as day job allows!

GREAT list! I guess I’ll be blog hopping this afternoon!! LOL! Feel free to check out my blog and add it to the list if you feel it would fit in. It’s not entirely about my horse but I do spend a LOT of time writing about him!
…grazing in the meadow of creativity!!
I have a blog about my horse farm at http://www.KYHorseBlog.com Read about horse farms ownership, and get some tips on equestrian real estate.
Dear Renee, Thank you for letting us know about your educational horse riding blog Encyclopedia Equestria. I have added your blog to my list under: ‘Horse Training and Equestrian Riding Blogs’
Great Site with super links! Thought the guys out there might like to check out my blog! I try to write things that I think people want to know about. Rider education is my passion! So check it out and let me know what you think! Enjoy!
Dear GP,
I added your blog to the list and checked it out. So glad you are telling people about growing and eating organic (real) food! All of us that own a horse can put that wonderful manure to work and become healthier.
Our horses would be healthier too if kept on organic pasture instead of in stalls and over fed grain grown with man-made fertilizers and weed-killers. I know this is not possible for everyone but it is what is best.
greetings, found your blog here and would like to request a listing of our blog http://fishcreekhouse.blogspot.com for incusion. We’re a bed and breakfast that provides horse accommodations; but i’m also chronicling our adventures as new horse owners and our training. Please stop by and let me know. Will add you to our blogroll
Thanks

Please add me to the “general” section!
My blog has a lot of pictures and posts on training & health from an amateur perspective. Thanks!!!
Well, I certainly appreciate the “linky love”, but I’m not completely sure that I would call my blog a horse blog. I write about horses and I express my opinions about certain aspects of the industry, but really it’s only part of a larger blog.
Just wanted to make sure that people clicking over had some sort of idea what they were getting into. I have a category on the home page entitled “Horses” for those who are interested.
Count me in! I’m Sierra Lynch, and I write Horse IQ for horse health and better horse care. I’d be honored to appear on your blog list.

I have been on the mailing list of your newsletters( which I absolutely love) for about a year, I didn’t know you had a blog as well. I started one a little over a month ago and I’m having a blast writing it. Keep up the great work!
I have added your blog, Every Rider, to this list of horse blogs. Thanks!
Thanks for the link (to my site, Crystal & Cookie) under the blogs!!
Your welcome Crystal.
